This is a photograph of the old public library building in Indianapolis. It was located on the southwest corner of Meridian and Ohio Streets where the Sheraton Hotel now stands. When I was a boy it was called the Indianapolis School Board Building and housed offices of the Indianapolis school system. On my 16th birthday in 1955 I remember going into this building and getting my Social Security card. It turned out to be a pretty good investment.
This site is for the enjoyment of the Campbell family and friends. It is a place to show pictures, make comments, and exchange thoughts. At times we post pictures of old Indianapolis. Since I grew up in Indianapolis, the comments are my memories of these places. Frequently we will show pictures related to friends or family we hope will be of interest to you. E-mail your pictures to me and I will try to get them on the site. Also, be sure to add your comments. We all want to hear from you.
